Collection consists mostly of letters from 1910-13 conveying information for his projected biography of the Princess Mathilde Bonaparte (1820-1904). There are mentions of her own painting, her pamphlet on the painter Eugene Giraud, her patronage of an orphanage and of a tomb erected for the Baronne de Reding, and a painting in the Demidoff collection.
